Lemon Honey French Toast
We love our friends at Love Sweat Fitness! If you haven't heard, they created an amazing organic protein powder that is Hanna's favorite. Here is a creative way to increase your protein intake. We can't wait for you to try this delicious Lemon Honey French Toast recipe that you are sure to love!
Ingredients
- 5-6 slices AWG Everyday or CinnaSpice Bread
- 1 scoop Love Sweat Fitness vanilla protein
- 3 tbsp almond milk
- 3 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp honey
- Zest from one lemon
- 2 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- Optional Toppings: honey, pistachios, lemon zest
Directions
- Slice the bread. Lightly toast.
- Whisk remaining ingredients in a shallow bowl.
- Dip the bread slices in the mixture. Leave it in a few minutes to soak up the flavors and moisture.
- In a pan melt olive oil, coconut oil, or a butter of choice. Pan fry each slice of bread until each side shows a golden brown.
- Top with honey, chopped pistachios & lemon zest. Enjoy!
