Lemon Honey French Toast

We love our friends at Love Sweat Fitness! If you haven't heard, they created an amazing organic protein powder that is Hanna's favorite. Here is a creative way to increase your protein intake. We can't wait for you to try this delicious Lemon Honey French Toast recipe that you are sure to love!

Ingredients
  • 5-6 slices AWG Everyday or CinnaSpice Bread
  • 1 scoop Love Sweat Fitness vanilla protein
  • 3 tbsp almond milk
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Zest from one lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • Optional Toppings: honey, pistachios, lemon zest
Directions
  1. Slice the bread. Lightly toast. 
  2. Whisk remaining ingredients in a shallow bowl.
  3. Dip the bread slices in the mixture. Leave it in a few minutes to soak up the flavors and moisture.
  4. In a pan melt olive oil, coconut oil, or a butter of choice. Pan fry each slice of bread until each side shows a golden brown.
  5. Top with honey, chopped pistachios & lemon zest. Enjoy!
